GOOD TIMES AND GREAT BEER

We create innovative, delicious, modern award-winning beer that delivers on that ‘glad to be alive’ vibe. We’re on the side of independence, craft and creativity. We invite everyone into our world with positivity and optimism to break free of the chains and enjoy life.

BREWED ON THE EDGE OF BATH

Our strapline refers to where we are geographically and mentally. We're quite happy being on the edge - it's where the interesting things happen.

To be involved in what is undoubtedly the most vibrant and exciting UK brewing scene in history, making modern beer alongside some of the best breweries is truly exciting, and a privilege.

We aspire to make great beer that brings some of that life-affirming pleasure to people.

Brewing four new craft beers a month, our approach to brewing is simple: we want to produce consistently great tasting beers of all styles from easy-drinking ales to highly-hopped, high strength beers – from our core range to our experimental special releases.

THAT GLAD TO BE ALIVE VIBE

We are particularly well known in the trade for our core range of most popular beers, including our 4.6% gluten free Helles lager ‘Mixtape’, 4.2% American pale ale ‘Werrrd!’ and the latest addition, our 5% pale ale ‘Tondo’. We supply kegs, casks and cans to pubs, restaurants, bars, bottle shops, and via our online shop and Taproom within the heart of the brewery.

We tell people the stories, passion, and personality that goes into our beer. Better ingredients, more flavour, more care.

We're all about the good times, whether it's about the Taproom, or other people doing things well, if it's positive, we're on it.

what you sayin'?

The name of our brewery, which is based on the edge of Bath, was originally founded in 2015 by former home-brewer Chris Lewis and was named after the old 19th century Bear Brewery that used to stand on the corner of the Wellsway, in Bear Flat and was described in 1893 as “undoubtedly one of the most noteworthy breweries in the West of England”. Electric derives from how we first powered the brewhouse kettle - AKA the ‘copper’ - the vessel used to boil the wort during brewing.

Now owned by Bathonians, David Horner and his wife Mary. David has nurtured an ambition to own a craft brewery for decades and with the help of investment and his business background, together we can take Electric Bear Brewing Co. to the next exciting stage of its development.
